Who We Are
Kari and Hearing Consultants of Southeast MI, are members of Entheos Audiology Cooperative. Entheos is a collective of independent audiology owners committed to making a difference in their practices and their patients' lives. These practice owners share a passion for audiology and are consistently working towards raising the bar for patient care. Entheos also has a give-back model where they aim to spread the Gift of Hearing locally and globally.

Kari A. Krause, M.A.
Audiologist
Kari graduated with her Bachelor’s in Audiology and Speech Science from Central Michigan University in 1986 and continued at CMU, receiving her Master’s Degree in 1989. Kari is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and an active and past board member of the Michigan Academy of Audiology. She currently holds an Audiology license from the State of Michigan.
Marianne Fortino, M.A.
Audiologist
Marianne joined our practice in December 2015 and brings with her the experience and knowledge of treating difficult hearing loss. Many of our patients have found success with her, which they had not seen before. Her main goal is to have people hear to the best of their ability to get back to the activities they enjoy.
Jean VanMaele
Practice Manager
Jean started working with us in 2011, and her responsibilities have continued to grow with the practice. She now oversees the four offices, keeping everything running smoothly and ethically. Her background experience ranges from personal care services to retail management and direct sales.
Kateri Boike
Patient Care Coordinator
Kateri joined our practice in 2022, and we are so glad she did. She is front and center, answering your calls and questions and scheduling appointments. In addition to running the front desk and the many facets that come with it, she is the one we look to for connectivity help.
